8 Week Beginner's Course

Beginner Iyengar Yoga Courses



 The Beginner 1 Course teaches fundamental understanding of the Iyengar method and focuses on core asanas that form the foundation for all asana practice. Designed for students new to Iyengar or those wishing to refresh their practice, this course follows a cumulative pattern over 8 consecutive weeks.

The series is structured to suit all ages and levels of fitness, making yoga accessible and beneficial to everyone. Each class offers an introduction into the precision and alignment of asana work and how to incorporate props safely and appropriately.

The Beginner 2 Course is for students who have already completely the Beginner Course at least once and are ready to move onto the next level. 

In this course, students will continue to develop the awareness of how the body moves within each asana. Building upon the postures learned in the Beginner Course, students will be offered safe guidance through variations and deeper levels of asana work to further understand the practice of Iyenger Yoga.

West End Yoga provides mats and props, however, you are welcome to bring along your own. If using studio equipment, please bring a towel to place over bolsters and blankets and ensure mats and blocks are wiped down at the end of each class.
